Manufacturing Engineer Intern
Galvion exists to empower military and tactical missions around the world. The intern will assist in the development and deployment of Manufacturing Best Practices, focusing on reducing cycle times, improving document control, and enhancing overall manufacturing processes.
Military
Responsibilities
Assist in the Reduction of Cycle Times
Assist in improved document control
Assist in improving scrap rates
Cycle Time Studies
Assist in the development of Best Practices
Develop tighter document controls
Work with team to identify/improve processes for both cost and time savings
Assist in design and prototyping of: Jigs, fixtures, etc
Assist in developing and maintaining 6S throughout the facility
Qualification
Required
Current pursuing a Manufacturing or General Engineering Bachelor's degree
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Excellent attention to detail required
Need to be comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite, emphasis on Excel. SolidWorks/AutoCAD experience are very beneficial
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Ability to work independently OR ability to work with a team and be an enthusiastic team player
Standing/Sitting for long periods of time. Working in a manufacturing environment
