Senior Investment Operations Analyst

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary expert and point of contact for Addepar within the organization
Responsible for supporting end‐users, implementing updates, and ensuring that all users are utilizing the software to its full potential
Lead internal initiatives to evaluate and improve operational processes, driving efficiency and enhancing client service
Oversee the measurement and reporting of investment performance, ensuring alignment with established objectives
Support the preparation, auditing, and analysis of client reports to ensure data accuracy and compliance with firm standards
Deliver timely and accurate performance reports to clients
Oversee the reconciliation of investment advisory fees, referral fees and ensure accurate billing processes
Provide timely and accurate quarterly invoices to clients
Collaborate internally to harness the power of our systems and implement new processes that support and improve our services
Lead daily trade execution across various asset classes, ensuring adherence to client investment strategies
Responsible for leading and overseeing all trading activities within the organization
Produce portfolio liquidity reports to determine if available liquidity is sufficient to fulfill future cash needs
Conduct ad hoc portfolio queries to assist in managing portfolios (asset class and position weights, exogenous positions, etc)
Provide reports to identify excess cash in client portfolios
Recommend actions to address portfolio rebalancing, liquidity needs and excess cash where appropriate
Design and manage customized investment portfolios aligned with clients' financial goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon
Continuously monitor portfolio performance, adapting strategies as necessary based on market conditions and client objectives
Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics within the Investment Department
Gather and analyze investment data to assess the effectiveness of strategies, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations
Prepare necessary materials for Investment Committee review
Research and identify the underlying subaccounts from each carrier/product used for allocations (currently using Morningstar)
Construct the model portfolios by carrier/product based on the asset allocation instructions from IC
Provides final asset allocation instructions to the Insurance Team for implementation
Conduct in‐depth research on prospective and current money managers, assessing their strategies, performance, and risk profiles
Actively participate in Investment Committee meetings to discuss asset allocation and investment strategy
Prepare the necessary quarterly reports and provide recommendations for the committee to consider
Provide ad‐hoc support for client queries related to annuities, tax harvesting strategies, income needs and general portfolio management
Cultivate long‐term, trusting relationships with high‐net‐worth clients and their families
Provide personalized advice on investments, retirement planning, and estate planning
Conduct meetings with clients to assess their financial goals and adjust strategies based on portfolio performance and market conditions
Offer expert guidance on the design and management of 401(k) plans, participant education, and plan conversions
Provide strategic recommendations for asset allocation within non‐qualified plans
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, including the Account Service Managers & Investment Data Analyst
Collaborate with leadership and cross‐functional teams to execute firm strategies and ensure operational alignment
Effective communication, issue resolution, and proactive management of third party relationships
Run Smart Office Reports for Departmental Meetings

Qualification
Preferred
BA/BS degree in Business, Finance or related field
10+ years professional experience in finance, investment, wealth management, performance reporting
Series 7, 63 or 66 Security Licenses, CFA, CFP or ChFC Designation
Positive attitude, superior customer service skills, strong initiative, critical thinking, flexibility, accountability and excellent communication (oral and written)
Ability to handle multiple projects and record details simultaneously
Ability to use personal discretion in a responsible and thoughtful manner
Ability to self‐direct and utilize tact and diplomacy
Sophisticated platinum‐level service skills, external and internal
Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Must be able to type and utilize common software programs
Must be familiar with modern office equipment
English fluency required
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
