CIBC US is building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world and is seeking a Production Support Engineer II for their US Risk Technology team. In this role, you will support the anti-money laundering (AML) platform using SAS Viya, manage application and database support, and oversee production changes while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Application Support – investigate application issues; prioritize incidents based on impact and severity. Identify root causes and implement solutions to prevent recurrence. Apply IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices for incident, change, and problem management

Database Support – write complex SQL queries; troubleshoot extract, transform, and load (ETL) pipelines

Cloud Computing – manage Linux virtual machines and a PostgreSQL database hosted on Microsoft Azure

Release Management – oversee production changes affecting CIBC’s SAS Viya AML platform, including bug fixes and version upgrades

Service Continuity – perform disaster recovery tests

Collaboration – build trusted working relationships with business stakeholders, technology partners, and external vendors

Communication – express technical concepts to non-technical audiences with precision and clarity

Continuous Learning – stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, changes in the banking industry, and regulatory developments
