UPF, Electrical Field Quality Control Engineer

Responsibilities
Leads activities of subordinate quality control engineers, and other Inspection personnel, as assigned
Issues and controls measuring and test equipment (M&TE). May perform calibration of M&TE. May lead the M&TE team
Implements quality control procedures and establishes detailed schedules for onsite inspection activities
Determines requirements for, and may direct preparation of, technical and administrative documents and reports
Generally assigned to a single discipline activity interfacing with a multidiscipline operation
Within assigned area, monitors the operations for adherence to project plans and specifications to ensure quality control compliance
Monitors subcontractors’ and suppliers’ workmanship, installation of material and equipment for quality control compliance
Performs inspection functions in accordance with the inspection plan, monitors inspection duties assigned to subcontractors and reviews results of inspections
Inspects and documents acceptance of construction activities and installations
Identifies nonconforming items and corrective action requirements
Qualification
Required
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
Must be a US Citizen
Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including verification of employment and education
Must be able to obtain a site security badge for access to the worksite
Previous or working experience with the M&TE calibration/certification process
Current or previous Level II Electrical inspection certification
Current or previous Level II Receipt inspection certification
Understanding of NQA-1 storage of material requirements
Ability to support multiple functions and support construction activities as directed by the CQCM
