Business Manager

Kalon Executive Search for Nutraceuticals, CPG and Wellness is seeking an accomplished B2B Nutraceutical Ingredient Business Manager to drive growth and market presence for their ingredient portfolio. The role requires strategic vision and hands-on execution to develop marketing strategies, deliver product presentations, and enhance brand equity in the B2B sector.

Staffing & Recruiting

Responsibilities

Develop and execute B2B brand strategies aligned with company goals
Conduct market research to identify trends and customer needs
Define positioning and messaging for B2B audiences
Understand P&L, sales forecasting, and commercialization
Collaborate with operations, R&D, and supply chain to ensure product availability and process improvements
Stay current on B2B ingredient trends, regulations, and technology
Translate technical details into clear market messages
Represent customer needs with suppliers
Work with sales managers to advance new projects and maintain a strong product pipeline
Manage multiple projects, track progress, and mitigate risks
Deliver clear, compelling presentations and collaborate on marketing materials
Support sales with effective tools and strategies
Use a technical background (nutrition science preferred) to understand product functionality and regulations
Translate scientific data into commercial messaging and support sales teams
Work independently, show initiative, and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Required

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Nutrition Science, Food Science, Chemistry, or related field
5+ years' experience in B2B brand management or product marketing (ingredients, food & beverage, or nutraceuticals)
Proven success in launching B2B brands/products
Strong market research, financial, and project management skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Proficiency with marketing platforms, CRM, and Microsoft Office

Preferred

Experience with nutraceutical branded ingredients and commodities
Experience with Mushroom extracts
Technical background (preferably in nutrition science)
