Senior Analyst Ops (Finance)
Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking a Senior Analyst Ops to provide financial organizational support to the Environmental Remediation Group. The role involves preparing financial reports, managing environmental reserves, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and accounting principles.

Responsibilities
Work closely with the Department’s Manager to support the department’s financial functions including reserve management, accruals, forecasting, budgeting, reconciliations, and various financial tracking, variance and reporting tasks ensuring compliance with Kinder Morgan financial policies and adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Coordinate project expense forecasts, budget data and departmental general and administrative expense tracking. Perform Ad Hoc analysis and reporting to develop and maintain performance metrics for the department
Coordinate project and contractor audits within the department
Attention to detail and ability to research and resolve discrepancies
Deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism. Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills
Write effectively, and understand verbal and written communications, including but not limited to email
Work independently to manage tasks and timelines
Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance
Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public
Other daily, weekly, and monthly duties, and special projects, as they occur and are assigned
May be required to work non-traditional hours as needed, especially around month and quarter end reporting deadlines
Comply with all KM policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
Minimum requirement BS Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting with 5-10 yrs of profit and loss, income statement, reserve management, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Sarbanes Oxley, various compliance related controls governing financial data and reporting
Must possess knowledge regarding management of environmental reserves, forecasting of financial data, accruals, profit and loss and income statements, and cost recovery tracking
Good organizational, communication (verbal and written) and PC skills
Individual must be proficient with Microsoft Office, advanced Excel including macro development, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and experienced with charts and graphs
Ability to organize and prioritize daily work, including tracking and managing large projects, and see projects to completion while maintaining strict confidentiality (as necessary)
Accounting, budgeting and forecasting related requirements assisting the project managers, department finance manager and director in preparation of reports, projections and quarterly/annual documentation
Ability to meet deadlines. Accurate with financial information
Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules and follow work rules
Must possess customer service skills; being cordial while interacting with customers. Ability to efficiently present information in a one-on-one setting and in small groups situations to customer, clients and other employees
Must possess understanding of how corporate policies, procedures, practices and processes relate to the business segment, associated business units, and internal and external customers
Preferred
Lawson, Ariba and ISNetWorld platform experience and ability to pull data is a plus
