QUALITY CONTROL TECH

Knife River Corporation is seeking a Quality Control Tech to ensure products are manufactured to meet specifications. The role involves performing daily concrete tests, checking concrete members against fabrication drawings, and documenting product status.

Responsibilities

Perform daily concrete tests
Check all concrete members against fabrication drawings before and after casting per established required tolerances
Document product status by recording and summarizing preliminary, in-process and finished product data
Ensure products are manufactured to meet specifications
Other duties as directed by supervisor

Required

Good math, record keeping and problem-solving ability
Ability to study, take and pass QC certification exams with adequate time and training provided
Must be able to lift material samples of 75 lbs. approx. 10 to 15 times per day and on occasion more depending on duties required
Ability to work overtime
Strong communication skills and positive interactions with a variety of customers required
Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen
Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and customers
Reliable Attendance is a must!

Preferred

Computer spreadsheet experience preferred
Engineering and statistics background helpful, but not necessary
