Responsibilities
Facilitate the sharing of patient images through various digital platforms with both patients and external healthcare organizations
Oversee and coordinate all tasks associated with sending and sharing Emory Healthcare images, including obtaining authorization for release, burning images onto appropriate media, and mailing them to the requested destination
Process and fulfill electronic requests via imaging sharing software for both patients and facilities
Manage patient and physician requests through online worklists and request queues
Maintain inventory within the department to ensure timely availability of supplies and efficient use of resources
Serve as the primary point of contact for sending images from their assigned operating unit to various stakeholders
Communicate with internal and external individuals to obtain information and provide high-quality service to all users
Identify and analyze problems related to equipment failure and patient requests within the file room
Act as a liaison between the Radiology department and the Emory Healthcare medical records department
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in a radiology department or related healthcare field is preferred
Knowledge of radiology department workflow, medical records processes, and healthcare administration is advantageous
Basic computer literacy
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to multitask effectively
