Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as PM Services, filter replacements, tire checks, and fluid checks
Replacing faulty components, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic lines / cylinders
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on equipment such as excavators, loaders, and bulldozers
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex machinery malfunctions
Repair or replace parts such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, turbos, and undercarriage components
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly
Reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics in SIS to support repair work
Follow safety protocols and learn the importance of maintaining safe working conditions
Ensure that equipment is operating according to manufacture standards
Keep detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and services performed on equipment to correctly write service reports
Attend all hands-on training and attend relevant technical classes to further develop your skills & knowledge
Perform other tasks as assigned by Team Leader or Supervisor to support the team

Required

High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical education in heavy equipment repair is a plus
Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician
Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in heavy machinery
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
At least 5-6 years of Caterpillar experience repairing machines
Knowledge of Caterpillar software and programs a plus
