Responsibilities

Support innovative cellular assay development to identify novel approaches to modulate high value targets for immunology and inflammation, incorporating primary immune cells as appropriate
Independently design, conduct, and analyze in vitro and in vivo experiments to support target validation and therapeutic hypotheses
Proactively evaluate new technologies, develop new assays, and generate scientific hypotheses to enhance our understanding of disease pathogenesis
Work cross-functionally with colleagues in inflammation biology, protein therapeutics, structural and medicinal chemistry, and bioinformatic teams
Present findings and recommendations to project teams and senior staff, prepare research reports and peer-reviewed manuscripts, and contribute the preparation of IND and patent filings

Required

6+ Years with BS OR
4+ Years with MS OR
0+ Years with PhD/PharmD
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills and strong organizational skills are required

Preferred

Ph.D. in immunology, molecular or cell biology, biochemistry, or related field; with 2+ years postdoctoral experience; OR Masters degree with 8-10 years industry experience
Strong background in cellular biology and/or immunology, and/or cell signaling. Experience with methods to modulate gene expression (eg CRISPR, lentiviral transduction), and/or knowledge of preclinical models of inflammation and immune function would be preferred
Familiarity with T cell biology, particularly regulatory T cells, would be ideal
Demonstrated record of research productivity as evidenced by first-author publications in top-tier journals
