Climate Pollution Reduction Program Manager's Assistant (Administrative Assistant 5) INTERNAL ONLY
NEOGOV is seeking a Program Manager's Assistant in the Climate Pollution Reduction Program (CPRP) at the Department of Ecology. This temporary position involves providing high-level administrative support to the Program Manager and coordinating with the leadership team to ensure efficient operations within the program.

Responsibilities
Serve as the principal administrative and confidential assistant to the CPR Program Manager, providing high-level support and acting with delegated authority on administrative matters
Coordinate closely with the Deputy Program Manager and leadership team, managing calendars, prioritizing requests, and preparing briefing materials for meetings, hearings, and other engagements
Draft, review, edit, and track executive-level correspondence and reports, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and timely completion
Act as a key liaison and point of contact for CPRP, communicating on behalf of program leadership with internal staff, agency leadership, external partners, and interested parties
Guide and coordinate the program’s administrative support team, setting priorities, improving processes, and ensuring consistent, efficient administrative services across the program
Supervise CPRP's Forms and Records Analyst, providing direction, coaching, performance feedback, and support for professional development
Oversee CPRP leadership and administrative SharePoint sites as site owner, ensuring content is current, accessible, well-organized, and managed according to governance best practices
Support compliance and accountability by coordinating Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) monthly legislative reporting and helping staff understand and meet reporting requirements
Qualification
Required
Six years of experience and/or education as described below:
Experience in clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative office work experience or supervisory experience
Education involving a major study in business administration, public administration, environmental administration, or closely allied field
Demonstrated leadership skills
Ability to effectively organize, delegate, and complete multiple assignments, sometimes of complex nature or involving competing priorities, to produce work products that are accurate, thorough and on time
Preferred
Knowledge of state and local government agency organization, operations, and budgeting and administrative processes
Ability to communicate with individuals and groups clearly and effectively within and outside of the organization
Ability to see opportunities for creative problem solving while staying within the parameters of good practice; generate unique but workable and useful solutions to difficult problems
Ability to coordinate and lead small groups, creating a cooperative and productive environment in which to resolve problems and implement plans
Ability to lead discussions to achieve appropriate participation from all members
