Tools & Parts Attendant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Tools and Parts Attendant to join our team, responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking tools and equipment while maintaining accurate inventory records.

Responsibilities

Receive, store, issue, and track hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies, and equipment
Maintain accurate records of tools and equipment issued to and returned by employees
Conduct searches for lost or misplaced tools and equipment
Perform periodic and perpetual inventory counts of tools, parts, and supplies
Monitor and maintain appropriate levels of bench stock to ensure uninterrupted operations
Prepare requisitions and restock tools, parts, and consumables as needed
Unpack, label, and properly store new tools, parts, and equipment
Visually inspect tools and equipment for wear, damage, or defects and report issues to supervision
Measure tools using precision instruments when required
Apply protective coatings such as grease or preservatives to tools
Attach identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the tool crib
Support maintenance and trade personnel by ensuring timely availability of tools and materials
Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

Minimum of 2 years' experience managing inventories
Must be proficient with inventory management systems
Must be a US Citizen with a US issued Passport or Real ID
Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle
Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Unassisted
Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Clear and effective written and communication skills
Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical
Must have availability M-F, with a daily schedule to be determined with supervision after hire
