Responsibilities
Stay informed about daily specials, in-house groups, occupancy levels, table and seating arrangements, proper table setups, room capacity, hours of operation, menu offerings, and dress code
Greet guests warmly and promptly as they arrive
Answer phone calls and maintain the reservation list
Ensure menus are up to date and replace any that are worn or damaged
Communicate guest needs and feedback to the kitchen and management, assisting as needed to ensure smooth operations and quality service
Regularly check on guests waiting to be seated, keeping them informed and engaged while they wait
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area, and properly close down the host stand while forwarding phones to the voice loop at the end of the shift
Qualification
Required
Ability to engage with guests and create a positive first impression
Recognizes and addresses guest concerns promptly
Team player and willing to contribute to a positive respectful work environment
Flexible to work both day and evening shifts
2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience
