Responsibilities
Utilise knowledge of actuarial pricing methodology and concepts to produce pricing, risk management and product recommendations
Contribute to the development and implementation of new products through initial pricing and underwriting guidelines
Support the insurance partnerships teams with ad-hoc and scheduled reviews of rate development, LR monitoring and product development stages
Work closely with the Data, Platform, and Data Science Teams to design and develop our unique insurance products
Provide insights to internal and external stakeholders to support insurance partners, internal insurance carrier and reinsurer relationships
Demonstrate a positive and proactive approach with stakeholders and address their concerns
Identify opportunities to continuously improve processes to address inefficiencies and risks
Develop skills in relevant data and modelling software to contribute for development and implementation of best practice in pricing, modelling and dashboards
Build and own dashboards for different market segments to monitor loss ratio
Qualification
Required
Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Data Science
Associate or Fellow Qualified actuary
2+ years of actuarial experience in the property & casualty/non-life insurance industry
Strong technical, analytical and mathematical skills
Strong SQL and Excel skills
Proven ability to foster and develop relationships with key external and internal stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate data to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to adapt quickly to a start-up pace environment and culture
Preferred
Programming skills in R and/or Python skills desirable
