Responsibilities

Lead and expand a team of classical hematologists within the region’s largest cancer clinical program
Deliver comprehensive care for patients with non-malignant hematologic diseases across inpatient and outpatient settings
Develop and lead a clinical research program in classical hematology aligned with existing strengths in solid tumor and malignant hematology research
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated, high-quality care
Participate in and contribute to clinical and translational research efforts
Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows
Engage in both academic and community practice settings within a high-performing, non-profit health system
Work with a dedicated clinical research office supporting investigator-initiated, NCI-sponsored, and industry-sponsored clinical trials

Required

Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia
Successful completion of physician residency program
Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution

Preferred

Board-certified in Hematology
Strong history of providing excellent patient-centered care
Success in enrolling patients on clinical studies
Previous leadership experience or readiness to lead a hematology program
