WAX OPERATOR B
Howmet Aerospace Inc. is a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries. They are seeking a Wax Operator B who will be responsible for pattern inspection, mold assembly, and ensuring quality standards while working in a team environment on a rotating night shift.

Responsibilities
Performs inspection of all patterns and decides to accept, repair or scrap the part per documented instructions
Follows established protocol for notification of potential deviations or scrap trends
Performs set-up of dimensional gauges
Dimensionally inspects cores and wax patterns using supplied gauging to specified tolerances
Utilizes the necessary fixturing or gauges to assure dimensional conformance of the pattern/mold to specified tolerances
Prepares sprues as required and locates ceramic bracing per engineering specifications
Attaches the pattern to the gating and seals per the specified method
Performs seal operations as specified
Performs dip seal operations as specified ensuring that the gates are sealed on the mold but are not over dipped
Performs sub-assembly of multiple airfoil patterns
Responsible for the quality of the entire mold assembly
Torch sprues, seal and pour cup. Add bracing as required per engineering specifications
Sets up equipment as required to perform specific activities
Performs all operations associated with pinner/robot
Must pay close attention to detail
Maintains necessary supplies for the area to maximize productivity
Performs other duties as required
Complies with all EHS rules related to the work environment
Works OT as needed
Follows 5S rules and procedures
Utilize help chain when needed. (Human Performance, BOLO)
Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations
Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Requires wearing safety glasses, gloves and Metatarsal shoes
Report all job-related illness and injuries (Per Employee Handbook)
Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner
Attend all EHS training
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 12 HOUR ROTATING NIGHT SHIFTS, 7:00 P.M TO 7:00 A.M. (2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off)
Basic Computer Skills
Must be able to read and interpret Product Criteria (PC) and Activity Instructions (AI)
Must be able to function as a member of a team and be able to work under general supervision
Must be able to maintain expected quality levels
Comply with all site required policies and procedures including but not limited to: EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct and the Wichita Falls Employee Handbook
