Responsibilities

Oversee the Income Audit and Accounts Payable functions
Prepare Daily and Weekly Revenue Report
Assist with Month-End Close Process, including preparation and review of journal entries
Reconcile daily payment transactions
Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and operating reports
Assist with timely completion of balance sheet and bank reconciliations as required by Langham Hotels standard operating procedures
Assist Accounting colleagues as needed
Complete a daily and monthly tax reconciliation
Answer calls from guests and research the issue/inquiry
Additional duties not mentioned above may also be requested by supervisor

Qualification

Accounting experienceHospitality industry knowledgeGeneral accountingAccounts payableBasic mathematics skillsComputer knowledgeTime management

Required

Two to three years' Accounting experience
Knowledge of accounting operations relative to the hotel, general accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, income audit, etc
Basic mathematics skills; ability to operate 10-key by touch; computer knowledge
Must be able work under strict time constraints
Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree preferred
preferably in hospitality industry 3 years of experience in the Hotel field as a supervisor or manager a plus
