Responsibilities
Inspect, repair, and maintain a variety of valves (control, safety, relief, gate, globe, check, ball, butterfly, plug) and actuators (pneumatic, hydraulic, electric)
Perform calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of valves and process instrumentation
Complete full repair cycle: pre-testing, disassembly, cleaning, machining, lapping, painting, assembly, and final inspection
Document all repair activities, including cause of failure and parts used
Provide technical support and communicate with customers on-site and in-shop
Adhere to National Board VR/UV program guidelines and site-specific safety requirements
Operate repair equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, sandblasters, and power tools
Qualification
Required
1–3 years in valve, pump, or actuator repair (or equivalent training)
Welding and machining skills are a plus
Strong mechanical aptitude
Troubleshooting ability
Time management
Teamwork
Valid driver's license and insurability
Ability to lift up to 44 lbs and work in varied conditions (heat, cold, clean rooms)
Comfortable with off-hours, weekends, and overtime as needed
Knowledge of rigging and moving heavy equipment
