Associate Contracts Specialist

The University of Dayton Research Institute is seeking an Associate Contracts Specialist to support various contracts and grants management activities. This role involves organizing documentation, providing customer support, and processing proposals and awards within the Deltek Costpoint system.

Responsibilities

Organizes and coordinates information and documentation (e.g., RFPs, proposals, contracts, modifications) in all assigned sponsor portals used by the Contracts & Grants Office
Serves as the first-tier support for contracts and grants customer support
Processes proposals, awards, and modifications in the Deltek Costpoint system
Responsible for several databases and works closely with the Contracts and Grants Office Leadership to identify, develop, and implement process improvements
Responsible for completing and tracking representations and certifications and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) for assigned sponsors
Updates and maintains multiple databases, as well as processes certain internal and external forms and manages the CGO general email inbox

Required

Bachelor's degree and one (1) year relevant experience
Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Word
Ability to meet deadlines, strong attention to detail, and a focus on superior customer service
Excellent written and verbal communication, planning, problem-solving, analytical, project management and customer service skills
Must be able to manage a consistent workload in a deadline driven environment
Ability to build effective relationships among a workforce at all levels
Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Preferred

Advanced degree
Working knowledge of support functions within a government contracting environment
Experience with federal government contracting agencies, including DOD and GSA
