ALUMNI RELATIONS COORDINATOR | PART-TIME
Lamar Community College is dedicated to transforming lives and strengthening the community through education. They are seeking an Alumni Relations Coordinator to support the Foundation Executive Director in developing and launching the college's first formal alumni engagement program, which includes cultivating relationships with former students and implementing engagement strategies.

Responsibilities
Establish and implement LCC’s first alumni relations strategy aligned with institutional goals
Identify, locate, and engage alumni through outreach, digital campaigns, social media, and community partnerships
Develop communication channels including newsletters, email updates, social media platforms, and storytelling campaigns
Collaborate with the Foundation and college staff to identify alumni donors and prospects
Support annual giving campaigns and targeted fundraising initiatives
Promote alumni opportunities to give back through scholarships, sponsorships, volunteerism, and legacy gifts
Build and maintain a comprehensive alumni database including contact information, interests, career pathways, and engagement history
Coordinate with Admissions, Records/Registrar, Advancement, and Foundation teams to integrate alumni data into existing college systems
Use DonorPerfect to track alumni activity, engagement, and outcomes
Plan, coordinate, and support alumni-focused programs such as: Networking, Alumni recognition features and awards, Homecoming and reunion events, Alumni speaker series and career panels
Coordinate campus visits, tours, and involvement opportunities for alumni
Collect and highlight alumni success stories through newsletters, social media, and website features
Support marketing and recruitment by showcasing alumni achievements and career trajectories
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in communications, business, nonprofit management, or related field
At least two (2) years of experience in communications, community engagement, education, fundraising, event planning, community college missions, student populations, or similar work
Strong relational, interpersonal communication, and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and build new programs from the ground up
Preferred
Experience with donor management systems (DonorPerfect preferred)
Background in higher education, nonprofit work, community engagement, or similar fields
Familiarity with rural community college environments
Familiarity with Lamar, Colorado
