Responsibilities
Lead structural design for new and rehabilitation bridge projects
Manage project budgets, schedules, and scopes
Prepare contract bid documents and oversee construction-phase services
Coordinate with subconsultants and internal teams
Mentor and lead design engineers and drafting personnel
Build strong client relationships
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (accredited program)
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Maryland
10–15 years of structural design experience, including bridge projects
Experience with AASHTO LRFD bridge design
Knowledge of steel, reinforced concrete, and prestressed concrete design principles
Strong project management and business development skills
Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities
Preferred
Master's degree in Civil Engineering
3+ years leading design engineers and drafting staff
Proven experience with Maryland Department of Transportation projects
