Lead a dedicated team of speech-language pathologists and a symbol board technician
Set departmental goals
Ensure that residents receive exceptional speech, language, and communication services
Oversee clinical quality
Mentor clinicians in creating innovative, person-centered programs
Promote the effective use of assistive technology
Inspire your team to deliver services that enrich communication, independence, and overall quality of life for every resident
Qualification
Required
Licensed by the Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologist and four years of professional diagnostic and treatment experience
Preferred
Experience evaluating and treating speech, language, and hearing disorders in adults and/or children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including work with augmentative and alternative communication devices (AAC)
Experience supervising professional staff, conducting evaluations, and coordinating integrated treatment plans
Demonstrated success collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (medical, nursing, OT, PT, special education)
Proven experience managing communication and swallowing disorders and understanding their impact on health and safety
Uses Clinical outcomes, quality metrics, and feedback to guide program improvements
