Responsibilities
Build and ship complex features across frontend, backend, and infrastructure with a strong focus on correctness, performance, and reliability
Contribute to system design, making thoughtful tradeoffs around scalability, complexity, and maintainability
Own services in production, including debugging, observability improvements, and iteration based on real usage
Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers to translate product requirements into robust technical solutions
Write clean, well-tested code and help define standards around testing, CI/CD, and system reliability
Qualification
Required
1+ year of industry software development experience
Strong experience with TypeScript, React or Next.js, Node.js, and Python
Backend and infrastructure experience with AWS (or similar), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, or PostgreSQL
Solid understanding of concurrency and distributed systems, including clustered or multi-user environments
Experience ensuring frontend reliability and performance optimization
Familiarity with monitoring and testing tools such as Sentry, Fullstory, Posthog, Cypress, or Playwright
Preferred
Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Pulumi
Open-source contributions or experience defining engineering best practices
Experience building interactive or collaborative tools such as real-time editors or whiteboard-style products
Startup experience, especially during periods of rapid scaling
