Responsibilities

Balance and assess the design, test program and requirements to meet mission needs
Enforce the Systems Engineering processes and functions, tailored to a go-fast program
Establish and enforce the standard for anomaly investigations
Ensure adequate peer reviews and trade study rigor to confirm all engineering changes are complete prior to implementation
Ensure leadership (Chief Engineer, Program Management, Customer Counterparts) are informed & engaged in decisions which impact contractual performance
Ensure technical risks are adequately represented

Required

Broad understanding of all spacecraft subsystems and interfaces
Ability to lead integrated teams through design, requirements, verification, and certification
Ability to balance and assess the design, test program and requirements to meet mission needs
Ability to enforce the Systems Engineering processes and functions, tailored to a go-fast program
Ability to establish and enforce the standard for anomaly investigations
Ability to ensure adequate peer reviews and trade study rigor to confirm all engineering changes are complete prior to implementation
Ability to ensure leadership (Chief Engineer, Program Management, Customer Counterparts) are informed & engaged in decisions which impact contractual performance
Ability to ensure technical risks are adequately represented

Preferred

Prior experience leading major milestone reviews (SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR)
Experience with systems architecture design of spacecraft, payload, and ground systems
Experience in the design, development, and production phases of a contract
Prior experience with Class C programs
Knowledge and application of Systems Engineering processes and functions
Prior experience as a Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) or Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE)
Experience with Technical Baseline Management
Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
Active or Current TS/SCI
