Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer for a large technical development program supporting the Sponsor’s Entitlement Programs and Digital Policy Management. The Software Engineer will work with a team to modernize and implement industry standards while ensuring secure and reliable IT systems.

Responsibilities

Comfort and familiarity in maintaining legacy applications

Experience in modernization of legacy applications

Ability to write custom scripts to install and configure code in EC2 instances

Experience leveraging Amazon Web Services

Experience creating RESTful API

Experience with spring boot

Develop Java and Angular (Typescript) that leverage Elasticsearch

Comfort and familiarity designing and utilizing custom ETL methodology

Strong communication, design, and documentation skills

Strong time and workflow management skills

Comfort and familiarity in unit testing, peer code review, and automated testing techniques like Selenium (create, edit, maintain, execute)

Work within the parameters of Agile & Scrum methodologies

Willingness to mentor and teach junior developers’ community best practices in a constructive fashion

Ability to methodically think through new and exciting challenges in a collaborative team environment in order to provide technically sound solutions
