Responsibilities
Build and Ship Across the Stack
Design, implement, and ship complex features across frontend, backend, and infrastructure with a strong focus on correctness, performance, and reliability
System Design and Execution
Contribute to the design of scalable systems and services, making thoughtful tradeoffs around complexity, performance, and long-term maintainability
Production Ownership
Own features and services in production, including debugging issues, improving observability, and iterating based on real-world usage
Collaboration
Work closely with product, design, and engineering to translate product requirements into robust technical solutions
Code Quality and Standards
Write clean, well-tested code and contribute to shared standards around testing, CI/CD, and system reliability
Qualification
Required
4+ years of industry software development experience
Strong expertise in TypeScript, React / Next.js, Node.js, and Python
Backend and infrastructure experience with AWS (or similar), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with databases including MongoDB, DynamoDB, or PostgreSQL
Deep understanding of concurrency and distributed systems, including Kubernetes, clustered environments, and multi-user synchronization
Hands-on experience with real-time systems such as WebSockets, Redis, Yjs, or CRDTs
Strong focus on frontend reliability and performance optimization
Experience with monitoring and testing frameworks such as Sentry, Fullstory, PostHog, Cypress, or Playwright
Preferred
Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Pulumi
Kubernetes or cluster orchestration experience
Low-level programming experience in Rust or C++
Open-source contributions or experience defining engineering best practices at scale
Experience building interactive or collaborative visual tools such as Figma-style editors or whiteboard applications
Prior experience working in a startup environment, especially during scaling phases
