Responsibilities

Set up the machine to run at maximum efficiency while meeting customer and quality specifications

Make adjustments to the machine to ensure that all jars, bottles, pouches or stick packs are the correct weight

Troubleshoot the machine to eliminate in-process errors

Clean all areas and equipment to be used

Assemble/disassemble equipment according to established procedures

Complete appropriate logbooks, pre-process and in-process documentation and clearance checks

Verify that all necessary materials are correct, present, released, and within the expiration period

Weigh materials and record all necessary dispensing information in master records

Record the total number of units packaged during the production process

Work with the Department Lead and the packers to adjust and accommodate variations in staffing

Assure that all scrap has been properly weighted and recorded on the batch loss tracking page

Turn in process documentation and samples to Department Head

Assure that products leaving the department are stored in the proper areas

Maintain a clear understanding of the company GMPs

Follow all safety policies and ensure work environment is free of safety hazards
