Responsibilities

Define and execute the thermal technology roadmap for core components, aligning with corporate objectives and future product needs
Oversee thermal modeling, simulation, and experimental validation for products utilizing advanced packaging
Partner with architecture, packaging, and system teams to integrate thermal solutions early in the design cycle
Drive exploration of emerging thermal technologies and materials to improve performance, cost, and predictability
Ensure timely delivery of thermal designs for multiple programs, balancing technical risk, cost, and schedule
Mentor and grow a high-performing team of thermal engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration
Present thermal strategies, risks, and mitigation plans to senior leadership and program stakeholders

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Sciences, or related field; Ph.D. preferred
10+ years of experience in thermal design and analysis for electronics or semiconductor products
Proven track record of leading technical teams and delivering complex thermal solutions
Expertise in CFD tools (e.g., FloTHERM, Icepak), thermal measurement techniques, and reliability analysis
Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and cost optimization for thermal components
Excellent communication and leadership skills with ability to influence across organizational boundaries

Preferred

Experience with liquid cooling systems and advanced thermal interface materials
Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing and supply chain considerations for thermal components
Knowledge of sustainability practices in thermal design
