Senior Living Residences is seeking a Programming Assistant to support the Program Director in creating and implementing engaging programs for senior residents. The role involves coordinating activities, forming relationships with residents, and ensuring their safety during outings.

Responsibilities

Form meaningful relationships with residents and families

Help implement and coordinate the balanced daily programming schedule for 7 days per week

Support with coordination of entertainment including guest lecturers, musicians, and fitness instructors

Participate in scheduled outings, ensuring safety of residents on transportation and off-site

Support with developing monthly newsletter, taking photos, and updating social media

Qualification

Required

1+ years experience working with elderly and/or Alzheimer's populations

An ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers

Punctuality & reliability

Preferred

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Education, Social Work, or related field
