Responsibilities
Field work will incorporate both ‘topside’ and ‘underwater’ inspections, destructive and non-destructive testing, topographic and hydrographic surveying, and construction oversight
Office based work will include structural analysis and design, preparation of drawings and specifications, quantity and cost estimating, and engineering assessment report writing
Qualification
Required
B.S. degree or higher in Civil, Structural, or Ocean Engineering
2-8 years of waterfront engineering and inspection experience
EIT or PE registration
Commercial diving certification (ADCI or equivalent)
Practical experience with civil engineering technology (AutoCAD)
The ability to learn quickly, strong communication skills, and a solid work ethic
Ability and willingness to travel, including overnight, as required
Valid driver's license
Ability to commute to Hainesport, NJ 08036
Ability to relocate to Hainesport, NJ 08036 before starting work
Preferred
Familiarity with structural analysis software such as STAAD
Experience with topographic or hydrographic surveys
Completed NHI Bridge Inspector Course
Possession of a Boating Safety Certificate
E.I.T or P.E. License
