Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, and conduit systems
Interpret blueprints, drawings, or other specifications to determine electrical requirements for installation or repair projects
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices and methodologies
Perform standard computations related to load requirements and electrical capacity
Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards in all work performed
Collaborate with other trades and departments to complete projects efficiently
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience
Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals
Proficiency in using electrical hand tools, testing instruments, and measuring devices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
Knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Must possess valid driver's license
Must possess TS/SCI
Pursuant to Government Contract, you must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred
Certification as a Journeyman Electrician or relevant professional certification
Experience with industrial or commercial electrical systems
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
