Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of various CNC equipment
Lead a team of talented machinist through development and production activities in order to deliver rocket and satellite components
Allocated resources to ensure delivery schedules are met for various production and R&D programs
Collaborate heavily with Rocket Lab engineering teams to ensure the highest quality of parts are being manufactured and delivered
Qualification
Required
12+ years of professional machine shop experience
Ability to setup jobs on both CNC Mills and Lathes
Ability to edit CNC programs
Experience machining wide variety of materials
Experience successfully leading a team in a fast-paced flexible environment running 5+ machines
Excellent GD&T and blueprint familiarity coupled with inspection knowledge
Willing to work C Shift (Friday – Sunday 5:00am - 3:30pm)
Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods – 8 hours min
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. unassisted
Must be able to move repetitively, bend or twist, and use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls
Preferred
Experience programming in NX from CAD or drawings
Experience working with casting and/or 3-D printed materials
NLX-2500-4000 & DMU-50-125 experience
