NEOGOV is seeking an Administrative Coordinator for the Seminole County Sheriff's Office. The role involves assisting in the development and implementation of training and career development programs for Sheriff's Office personnel, maintaining training records, and handling administrative tasks related to the Training Academy.

Responsibilities

Perform administrative and technical work assisting in the development, implementation, and increase of in-service, academy, specialized training and career development programs for Sheriff's Office personnel and incorporate the agency's vision in training and career development
Assist in carrying out the mission of the Professional Development Division
Maintain training records (e.g., trainee lists, schedules, attendance sheets, and post-training surveys)
Assist with on-site audits conducted by FDLE
Develop, produce, and analyze reports and data
Complete correspondence related to the Training Academy
Track instructor information and qualifications
Track and update the FDLE portal (ATMS) with new entries, recertifications, mandatory class completions and Specialized Units recertifications
Book classrooms and ranges and ensure they are set up properly
Prepare and disseminate materials (e.g., instructional notes, feedback forms). Act as a point-of-contact for trainers, vendors, and participants
Handle accounts payable and ensure invoices are paid. Resolve administrative issues as they arise on-site
Submit reports on training activities and results. Recommend improvements or new programs
Maintain knowledge of current training documentation and record maintenance required by the FDLE, the agency, and the Professional Development Division
Order and maintain stock of permanent and expendable training and Professional Development items
Maintain personal contact with the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission to establish rapport and gain an understanding of their training requirements
Performs any other tasks as assigned by the Professional Development leadership team
Responsible for issuing all certification documents for specialized training

Required

Each applicant must complete a NOTARIZED Background Investigation Waiver. Failure to submit this document will disqualify your application. The waiver must be notarized and submitted with the pre-screen application
Strong attention to detail with an ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Ability to problem-solve and possess strong project management skills
Experience with various training methods, including on-the-job coaching, mentorship programs, and e-learning
Experience with different projects, such as management training and soft-skills development, is also essential
Applicants selected for employment will be provided a conditional offer and required to submit to a medical examination with drug screening
Candidates must also comply with the Agency's current Tattoo and Body Ornamentation Policy
An applicant's tattoos and body ornamentation must be disclosed at the time of application and will be documented as part of the agency's review process, even if otherwise meeting the Agency's policy
External applicants for employment will submit to a thorough background investigation, which includes, but not limited to, past employment/education verification, driver license review, credit history, prior drug use history, arrest/conviction record, and computerized voice stress analysis (CVSA) testing
Any dishonesty or deception on the Employment Application will disqualify your application
The background investigation process may take 3-6 months depending upon the complexity of the applicant's background and position for which you've applied
Applicants not selected for employment will receive notification from the Human Resources Division, to include justification based on the following disqualifiers: negative background, failure to meet minimum qualifications as outlined in the specific job description, or any additional information discovered during the interview process
Applicants will be eligible to reapply with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office after one year from date of notification
Have you been convicted for a DUI within the last five (5) years prior to today?
Have you sold any type of controlled substance (i.e. marijuana, cocaine, ecstasy, heroin, LSD, prescription medications) to others within the last seven (7) years prior to today?
Have you used or purchased any type of illegal or controlled substance, excluding marijuana, (i.e. cocaine, ecstasy, heroin, LSD, prescription medications not prescribed to you, steroids) within the last seven (7) years prior to today?
Have you been convicted of a misdemeanor (including but not limited to where adjudication was withheld) or participated in a pretrial diversion program for any offense involving false statements, perjury or domestic violence within the last five (5) years prior to today?
Have you ever been convicted of a felony crime (including but not limited to where adjudication was withheld) or participated in a pretrial diversion program for any felony offense?
Do you have a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of related training, education and experience?

Preferred

Project Management experience preferred
Proficient in MS Office; working knowledge of learning management systems and delivery tools
Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
Excellent communication skills
