Radiologist- Chief of Diagnostic Imaging Services
Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center seeks a Radiologist leader to serve as Chief for their inpatient and outpatient facility overseeing quality and operations of their Level 2 hospital with robust outpatient capabilities. Responsibilities
Primary leadership of Radiology Department at MGVAMC in Spokane
Strategic planning for service
Budget oversight of service
Staffing resource analyses
Oversee NTP service contract with MG
Oversee fee basis radiologists
Serve as MR Safety Officer and Chair of Radiation Safety Committee
Read radiology studies and performing interventional procedures on site
Ensure operational metrics including productivity and utilization are met for staff radiologists
Manage Patient Safety concerns with facility Patient Safety
Collaborate with DI Tech Manager and AO to track and manage improvement initiatives
Collaborate with other service lines for optimized patient access
Serve on leadership and organizational committees as needed
Qualification
Required
United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy
Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
Residency Training: Physicians must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
Proficiency in spoken and written English
Preferred
Radiologist required- Board certification preferred
Leadership experience- 5 years or greater preferred
