Supervisory Passport Specialist

The U.S. Department of State is seeking a Supervisory Passport Specialist to lead a team within the Dallas Passport Agency. The role involves supervising the acceptance and adjudication of passport applications and ensuring compliance with U.S. laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Plans, schedules, and prioritizes the work of subordinate staff and adjusts assignments as needed
Initiates requests for personnel actions including the filling of vacancies and recommending employees for career promotions as appropriate
Maintains liaison with Department officials regarding unusual citizenship or passport eligibility cases
In conjunction with Customer Service Managers (CSMs), maintains liaison with acceptance agents
Assists in the development and delivery of fraud training for agency/center staff and works with the Fraud Program Manager (FPM) to provide additional fraud prevention training

Required

U.S. Citizenship is required
Incumbent will be subject to random drug testing
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position
Qualifying specialized experience may have been gained in work such as developing, examining, investigating, adjudicating, or authorizing claims arising under the immigration and/or nationality laws of the United States
Ability to assign, review, and supervise the work of others
Objectivity and fairness in judging people on their ability, and situations on the facts and circumstances
Ability to adjust to change, work pressures, or difficult situations without undue stress
Willingness to consider new ideas or divergent points of view
Capacity to 'see the job through.'
