Senior Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

Project leadership in the conception, development, and implementation of industrial controls systems for RNG plants and related skid systems utilizing PLC's, SCADA, and HMI software to meet project and customer requirements
Hardware selection and implementation and related programming
Leading control system design and related hardware specification and selection
Leading troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of automated machine systems, components, and electrical devices
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, suppliers, and internal team on a regular basis, both verbally and in writing
Maintain and track all project correspondence and documentation
Coach, mentor, and train junior engineers and colleagues
Adapt and be flexible in a changing environment

Required

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field required. Additional experience will be considered in lieu of degree
10+ years related experience in leading control system design and related hardware specification and selection
In depth knowledge of Rockwell and/or other similar PLC platforms
General knowledge of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, and motors
Extensive knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems and components such as VFD's, power supplies, relay logic, etc
Extensive experience leading troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of automated machine systems, components, and electrical devices
Detailed knowledge of NEC (National Electric Code) and other international electrical codes such as IEC and CSA
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, suppliers, and internal team on a regular basis, both verbally and in writing
Must be good at multi-tasking and running multiple projects in different stages of completion at once
High organizational skills are required to maintain and track all project correspondence and documentation
Demonstrated experience and ability to coach, mentor, and train junior engineers and colleagues
Ability to adapt and be flexible in a changing environment
