Responsibilities
Answers incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner, promptly responding to requests and inquiries or directing/triaging calls for clinical personnel
Greets patients and visitors in a welcoming and helpful manner
Obtains patient demographic information and accurately enters and updates EHR
Schedules patient appointments and ensures that all required follow-up is complete
Confirms future appointments following
EMR experience
Qualification
Required
Experience in a medical office, whether in a clinic, optometrist, dermatologist or similar office
Medical terminology experience
Understanding of insurance
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Customer service skills
Knowledge of healthcare industry
Familiarity with medical office procedures
Phone support experience
Patient intake experience
EMR experience
Ability to answer incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner
Ability to greet patients and visitors in a welcoming and helpful manner
Ability to obtain patient demographic information and accurately enter and update EHR
Ability to schedule patient appointments and ensure that all required follow-up is complete
Ability to confirm future appointments
