Volunteer Intern Writer – Black Coaches Classic
The Black Coaches Classic is a community-centered basketball showcase that honors legendary coaches and uplifts Black leadership in sports. They are seeking a passionate Volunteer Intern Writer to chronicle the event, focusing on storytelling and sports journalism.
Responsibilities
Write game recaps for each contest at the Classic
Capture the tone, storylines, and standout performances
Contribute an event recap highlighting coaches, athletes, and community impact
Work closely with event organizers to meet deadlines
Content may be featured on our website and social media platforms
Qualification
Required
Strong writing skills and interest in sports storytelling
Passion for basketball, culture, and community impact
Reliable, organized, and able to work in a live-event environment
Preferred
Journalism, communications, English, or media background a plus (not required)
