Director of Sales
Rolled Metal Products, Inc. is a company that has been supplying customers with specialty metals for over 30 years. They are seeking a Director of Sales to manage and develop sales teams, promote sales growth, and ensure customer satisfaction in their territory.

Responsibilities
Oversee daily activities of all sales representatives, make hiring/employment decisions, provide performance feedback, and delegate work assignments
Lead, manage, and coach sales staff to ensure premier customer service
Promote a positive work environment based on teamwork and continuous improvement
Facilitate weekly sales meetings and review all new customer activity, sales, and inventory goals with staff
Monitor daily sales bookings and provide encouragement and assistance to the team in securing orders
Increase sales and provide support for current customers within the territory assigned, including target and growth accounts
Formulate quotes for potential business with new or existing customers
Implement and lead prospecting activities with the sales team to identify new business opportunities
Develop sales strategies that focus on profitable sales growth with existing and potential customers
Establish specific sales goals for sales representatives and provide appropriate feedback to assist in their success
Monitor shipping schedules and communicate daily with the Operations Manager on production workflow to ensure on-time customer deliveries
Mentor sales staff as necessary, including traveling with them to prospect new targets and visiting existing accounts to cultivate customer relationships
Maintain knowledge of current trends and development in the industry and attend appropriate workshops and seminars to strengthen skills
Work with General Manager and Purchasing Manager to optimize inventory control and purchasing
Develop forecasting methods to work with customers on establishing accurate material forecasts
Provide various sales reports to the General Manager as required
Promote, encourage, and support employee training and development
Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees
Maintain high level of business acumen and lead by example
Establish strong communication between Inside and Outside Sales, Purchasing, and other functions within the organization
Actively participate in the leadership team with the General Manager and Operations Manager
Adhere to all company handbook policies, procedures, and business ethics and ensure they are communicated and implemented within the sales teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field
Five or more years of experience in sales management
Five or more years of supervisory experience
Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational, problem solving, and time management skills
Ability to motivate, train, and develop employees
Ability to analyze, track, and maintain accountabilities
Market experience, insuring ability to recognize opportunities
Operate with high integrity and ensure same standards from subordinates
Strong work ethic; self-motivated
Creative, forward thinker
Valid State Driver's License; safe driving record
