Manager - Fuel Settlements Accounting

Sunoco LP is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our Operational Accounting team in Dallas, TX. The role involves performing end-to-end accounting and analysis for fuel supply and bulk sales, ensuring accurate cost of sales and revenue reconciliation, and managing a high volume of accounting information across multiple systems.

Responsibilities

Research and gather information from the team to urgently identify and resolve issues and provide guidance to supervisors and team members in a timely manner
Cultivates and maintains productive relationships with internal counterparts to enhance process improvements aligned with company goals
Proactively engages in the learning and development of the Supervisors and team members on key systems and processes to support future growth and efficiency
Promotes a culture of learning and development, encouraging team members to master various systems and manage workloads
Manages issue resolution for the entire team accurately and with a sense of urgency
Responsible for a high-volume of accounting information moving between multiple systems
Ensures the integrity of financial data by reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and leveraging technical accounting skills to analyze trends in P&L and balance sheet accounts while identifying opportunities for process improvements through innovative solutions
Exhibits a record of sustained improvement in key metrics for the team
Builds and maintains collaborative relationships across departments, serving as a trusted leader and advocate for direct reports and accounting teams
Proactively leads initiatives, resolves complex issues, and mitigates risks with minimal oversight, ensuring team efficiency and operational success
Aligns team goals with leadership’s vision by setting clear expectations, communicating strategic direction, and driving cross-functional alignment
Champions a culture of inclusion, transparency, and continuous improvement by fostering open communication and valuing diverse perspectives
Invests in team development through structured career planning, coaching, and mentorship while recognizing contributions and encouraging growth
Identifies process and efficiency improvements, leveraging technology and innovation to support long-term department success

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
8+ years' experience
Proficiency in Excel
P&L Analysis required
