Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on building systems
Change belts and filters; exercise and wipe down equipment
Assist with facility projects and general maintenance tasks
Support operational uptime and equipment reliability
Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural, HVAC, fire/life safety, furniture, and control systems
Ensure all building systems meet applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards
Maintain and support energy management programs for efficient system operation
Assist with and execute preventive maintenance programs; perform emergency repairs as required
Safely store, use, and dispose of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe work environment
Review and inspect systems such as fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure proper operation
Apply in-depth technical knowledge to solve complex maintenance issues and provide innovative solutions
Coach team members and share technical expertise across disciplines
Lead by example, modeling company values and fostering collaboration
Communicate technical or sensitive information clearly to stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical skills
Advanced safety knowledge and practices
Excellent communication skills
2–3 years of relevant building or facilities maintenance experience
High School Diploma or GED required
Trade school education preferred
Experience with CMMS systems
Basic computer or tablet proficiency
Ability to meet physical demands including standing, walking, climbing ladders/stairs, stooping, and lifting/carrying 50 lbs. or more
Strong judgment and problem-solving based on multiple information sources
Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Solid organizational, math, and analytical skills
Preferred
Ability to work effectively within a team environment
Advanced mechanical skills
Universal CFC certification (preferred)
Prior shift management or supervisory experience
