Pharmacokinetics Research Scientist
The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) is dedicated to providing crucial information on chemical hazards and risks in the environment. They are seeking a Pharmacokinetics Research Scientist to conduct original research on risk assessment methods, serve as a subject-matter expert in pharmacokinetics, and collaborate with academic researchers to develop innovative approaches for evaluating unassessed chemicals.
Research
Responsibilities
Plan and conduct original research into the development and application of novel risk assessment methods
Serve as a subject-matter expert in pharmacokinetics who makes independent decisions on the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and clearance of chemicals in the human body and across human populations
Apply new computational-toxicology approaches to develop hazard and dose-response assessments that can support regulatory standards for unassessed chemicals
Establish collaborations with academic researchers on the development and refinement of novel risk assessment methods that use NAMs
Work to build acceptance of these methods and results
Publish scientific papers and technical reports
Qualification
Required
Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (when not applying electronically), or the Electronic State Employment Application through your Applicant Account at www.CalCareers.ca.gov.
