Income Maintenance Caseworker - Susquehanna County Assistance Office
NEOGOV is seeking an Income Maintenance Caseworker for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The role involves determining eligibility for various financial assistance programs and requires the ability to interview clients, interpret policies, and enter data into an eligibility system.

Responsibilities
Determining eligibility for financial assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, LIHEAP, nursing home care, and waivers
Interviewing customers either over the phone or in person
Reviewing, interpreting, and correctly applying policy
Data entering information into an automated eligibility determination system as well as performing manual calculations
Typing clear and thorough case comments about client circumstances and changes
Completing all work within deadlines in accordance with federal and state policy
Complying with regimented policies and procedures and staying current with major changes impacting knowledge and skill
Qualification
Required
Four years of experience in interviewing or work requiring the analysis and interpretation of data; or
A bachelor's degree; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree
You must meet the PA residency requirement
Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Susquehanna County
You must be able to perform essential job functions
A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports
You must pass a background investigation
This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment
