Inside Higher Ed is seeking Information Systems Instructors to teach basic programming and database courses at Trident Technical College. The role involves developing course materials, advising students, and supporting departmental administration while maintaining a commitment to student success.

Develop and maintain course materials
Recommend and design new programs
Maintain office hours
Participate in professional development and college activities
Support student retention and graduate placement

Support departmental administration

Qualification

Master's degree in ITObject-oriented programmingWeb development technologiesTeaching experienceCustomer service skillsContinuous professional developmentInterpersonal skills

Required

Master's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or a closely related field
A minimum of 18 graduate hours in Computer Science/Information Technology
Related master's degrees include Computer Science, Software Development, Software Engineering, and/or Artificial Intelligence

Preferred

Meet ACBSP guidelines
A minimum of (3) three years of progressively working/teaching experience in higher education
At least three (3) years of work experience in a related field
Working knowledge in multiple object-oriented programming languages (Java, C++, C#, Python, etc.)
Working knowledge in web development technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, SQL, etc.)
Proficient in modern business office applications and instructional techniques and methodologies
Committed to continuous professional development in the ever-changing field of information systems
Eager to deliver current knowledge to students using state-of-the-art techniques and technologies in educational settings
Possess exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
Able to work in an environment characterized by frequent changes in information technology
Demonstrate a solid commitment to student success
