Safety and Sustainability Engineer
Heraeus Electro-Nite is looking for a Safety & Sustainability Engineer who’s ready to make a real impact. This role puts you at the center of safety culture and sustainability goals, combining hands-on engagement with data-driven strategy to ensure regulatory compliance and drive improvements.

Responsibilities
Lead and improve safety programs aligned with OSHA and company standards
Identify and mitigate hazards through risk assessments, JSAs, and ergonomic evaluations
Drive incident investigations and implement corrective actions
Deliver engaging safety training for employees and contractors
Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance at all levels
Manage safety documentation, KPIs, OSHA logs, and reporting
Support sustainability initiatives in energy, waste, water, and carbon reduction
Track and analyze sustainability metrics to drive measurable improvements
Support ISO 14001 compliance and environmental management systems
Collaborate with engineering and operations to integrate safety and sustainability into new processes and projects
Contribute to ESG reporting and corporate sustainability commitments
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001/45001 standards
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
Strong analytical skills with the ability to spot trends and drive improvements
Excellent communication skills and a hands-on, shop-floor-first mindset
Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental, chemical, or industrial engineering (or related field)
Preferred
CHMM, LEED Green Associate, Lean/Six Sigma, or sustainability reporting experience
Experience with Scope 2 & 3 emissions, CSRD, and CO₂ reduction projects
