Responsibilities
Dispatch field units via computerized dispatch system
Monitor incoming alarms
Dispatch appropriate field units to calls
Assigned to a Lead Dispatcher for training on job functions of a dispatcher
Study and learn radio codes, dispatch policies and procedures
Be able to learn and be proficient at working independently and as a team by the completion of training
Qualification
Required
Availability to accept shifts with training dispatcher and then own permanent shift
Ability to work all days, all swings, or all graves with two consecutive days off
Proficiency in dispatching field units via computerized dispatch system
Ability to monitor incoming alarms
Capability to dispatch appropriate field units to calls
Willingness to be assigned to a Lead Dispatcher for training on job functions
Ability to study and learn radio codes, dispatch policies, and procedures
Ability to work independently and as a team by the completion of training
Experience in a dynamic, collaborative environment, working closely with customers and co-workers
