Campus Farm Native Plants Intern

Responsibilities

Growing, planting, and caring for native plants
Preparing planting sites
Removing overly competitive, non-native plants
Collecting, cleaning, storing, and dispersing native plant seed
Participating in Campus Farm activities as assigned
Estimate of duties: ~50% native plant establishment and care, ~50% campus farm

Required

Applicants must have one year of experience enrolled in a college or university by the internship start date. Recent college graduates who earned a degree in December 2025 or are planning to earn a degree by May 2026 are eligible to apply
This position may require a valid driver's license and a motor vehicle record check in order to operate MBGNA vehicles
Coursework and experience in identification of herbaceous plants
Coursework and experience in agroecology, horticulture, botany, ecology, soil ecology, and related subjects
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Willingness to do physical work
Ability and willingness to work in an inclusive and team-oriented way with diverse audiences, partner organizations, and programs involved with the Campus Farm
Must have a flexible schedule with weekend and evening availability
