The role involves providing in-person mathematics instruction to adult learners preparing for the GED or National External Diploma Program, focusing on foundational math skills in a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities
Teach evening math classes aligned to GED and NEDP standards
Deliver instruction across multiple levels, including numeracy, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and data analysis
Develop engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse adult learner needs
Track attendance and student progress
Collaborate with academic staff, tutors, and Student Support Services
Participate in required orientation and limited professional development activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Math Education, Secondary Education (Math), Adult Education, or a related field
Experience teaching math at the high school or GED level
Ability to work effectively with adult learners from diverse backgrounds
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Preferred
Master's degree in a related field
Experience teaching adult education or GED math
Familiarity with CASAS, Accuplacer, or similar assessments
