Principal, Compensation Consultant
Amazon’s Executive Compensation team is seeking a Principal Compensation Consultant. In this role, you will be responsible for the executive compensation strategy, planning, and execution for the business on a global scale, driving competitive and equitable compensation practices aligned with Amazon's core philosophy.

Responsibilities
Partner with senior People Experience and Technology (HR), Executive Recruiting and business leadership to develop and implement compensation strategies relevant to the specific organization, and aligned with our compensation philosophy
Independently lead discussions with senior leaders in the business, HR, and Executive Recruiting
Develop creative solutions as needed on a variety of total compensation issues, and work on a variety ad hoc special compensation projects as needed
Perform deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing global compensation programs and assess potential impact of alternatives
Build and maintain mechanisms to drive operational excellence, and work with executive compensation tech talent to implement new tools as needed
Understand current state of systems and processes and develop gap analysis between current state and customer requirements
Conduct custom surveys with key industry contacts, as needed
Qualification
Required
Experience in finance, compensation, or consulting with an in-depth knowledge of core compensation terminology and best practices
Preferred
Executive Compensation and Project Management experience
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, with all levels of employees in the organization
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills for internal presentations that demonstrate business acumen
Extremely strong analytical and quantitative skills and a track record for planning, delivering, and auditing work
Ability to create dynamic tools and models to interpret and analyze data
Proven experience in leading/overseeing complex corporate or multi-business level initiatives/projects
Ability to work independently, take on responsibility and be quick of foot in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment
Superior consultation skills and the ability to seek out information and provide quality advice
A graduate degree and/or CCP is preferred
