HVAC Service Field Project Manager
B&I Contractors, Inc. is Florida’s fastest growing mechanical contracting team, seeking a detail-oriented HVAC Service Project Engineer to join their Special Projects team. The role involves managing HVAC service projects, ensuring timely execution, and maintaining communication between various teams to support smooth operations.

Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage the timely, profitable execution of Special Projects HVAC service work, including scheduling manpower, subcontractors, and equipment
Serve as the liaison between Service Sales, Special Projects, and Construction Operations, ensuring clear communication and project alignment
Review and submit all necessary project documentation (submittals, RFIs, permits, lift plans, etc.) to support smooth field operations
Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, safety compliance, quality standards, and productivity
Support the Project Manager with estimating, change orders, equipment tracking, and vendor coordination
Ensure all work adheres to B&I’s quality standards, safety policies, and departmental procedures
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
2–5 years of HVAC Service or Project Engineering experience in a mechanical contracting environment
OSHA 30 Certification (within the last 5 years)
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while staying organized and proactive
Must be a strong team player and detail-oriented problem-solver
This position requires the ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds on a regular basis
The employee must be capable of performing physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and lifting within OSHA ergonomic safety guidelines
Safe lifting techniques must be used to comply with all applicable workplace safety standards
This position requires the ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis
The employee must be able to perform tasks involving physical labor, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials, tools, or equipment
Manual material handling must be performed in accordance with OSHA safety standards and company policies to minimize risk of injury
